First opened in 1980 as the Regent Hotel, then rebranded as InterContinental in 2001, born again as Regent Hotel in 2023.

The group toured the front and back of house with the Managing Director of Regent Hotel Hong Kong and chatted about the sustainability,  branding, and the essential Chi Wing Lo design, a new kind of luxury where tradition is contemporary, before the beloved Hong Kong iconic hotel is fully reopened.

Furthermore, the group heard first-hand from owner Christina Gaw of Gaw Capital, about their stories, challenges and the journeys that have brought them to the purchase of the Intercontinental Hotel, rebranding and entrusting renowned Shau Kei Wan – Hong Kong-born, now Milan-based designer Chi Wing Lo to recreate the 2023 Regent Hotel, and their business strategy going forward.
