Join us for a private dinner at the residence of a distinguished alumnus, where we will explore a timely and critical topic: “AI in HK: What Differentiates Leaders and Laggards?”

We are honored to have Joon Nak Choi (PhD ’11), Adjunct Associate Professor at HKUST and an expert in the intersection of business, machine learning, and AI strategy, as our guest speaker. He will share his expertise and lead a thought-provoking discussion on how organizations can successfully navigate and lead in Hong Kong’s evolving AI landscape.

As a fellow Stanford alum, Joon Nak Choi brings a unique blend of academic rigor and practical business execution. In addition to his roles at HKUST, where he is helping design and teach the university’s new mandatory AI core curriculum, he has deep hands-on experience in the field. He has advised HKUST’s MSc in Business Analytics program, founded AI education startups, and previously served as Chief Data Scientist for a Stanford GSB spinout. His work sits squarely at the intersection of business, technology, and ethics, making him the perfect voice to guide our discussion.

To complement the evening’s intellectual stimulation, a professional chef will prepare an authentic, bespoke Spanish and international dinner, accompanied by a curated selection of fine drinks and cocktails.
